Creating Forms in Modern Campus CMS

Modern Campus now offers a new Forms module, replacing the older Form Assets system. This updated module provides a more user-friendly experience, making it easier to create, manage, and embed forms across your site.

Getting Started: Creating a New Form

To create a new form:

1. Navigate to Content in the CMS.
   
2. Click on Forms.
   
3. Select New to create a new form.
   

From here, you can begin building your form by dragging and dropping the necessary elements.

Build Your Form

• Use the drag-and-drop interface to add fields (text inputs, dropdowns, checkboxes, etc.).
  
• Arrange fields in the order you want them to appear.
  
• Customize labels and required fields as needed.
  

Configuring Form Settings

To configure your form:

1. Click on Form Settings within the form editor.
   

Here, you can:

• Add success messages (what users see after submission).
  
• Add failure messages (if something goes wrong).
  
• Configure email recipients who should receive form submissions.
  

⚠️ Important Notes

• Due to security restrictions, form submissions will not be delivered to internal email addresses.
  
• Be sure to use appropriate external or approved email addresses when configuring notifications.
  

Inserting a Form onto a Page

Insert via WYSIWYG Editor (Recommended)

1. Open the CMS page where you want to add the form.
   
2. In the WYSIWYG toolbar, click the Insert Form button.
   
3. Select your form from the dropdown menu.
   
4. Click Insert.
   

Once inserted, the CMS will add a tag that looks like:

This is a dependency manager tag. It will automatically render as the full form when you preview or publish the page.
